Zeiss VR One gaat nog steeds maar $99 kosten
In oktober 2014 kondigde de Duitse optiek-firma Zeiss een VR headset aan: de VR One. Deze zou in december voor 99 dollar op de markt komen, maar zover is het nog niet gekomen. Het beoogde prijskaartje is nog wel hetzelfde en intussen zijn er meer dan 300 ideeën gelanceerd op de “app-contest” die Zeiss heeft gelanceerd, waarbij de eerste 25 inzenders een headset konden winnen. De belangrijkste eigenschappen van de VR One:
- geschikt voor smartphones tussen de 4,7 rn 5,2 inch
- geschikt voor Augmented Reality (AR) toepassingen (camera op de achterkant te gebruiken)
- gebruikt (alleen) de sensoren van de smartphone
- aansluitingen voor audio en voeding van de telefoon
