Presentations:

PurplePillVR

Purple Pill (http://purplepillvr.com/) is a creative content agency specialized in 360º 3D video. We made all the mistakes that a production house can make, and we’ll now share the painful lessons we learned so you can avoid them.

Brekel – Motion Capture & Mixed Reality

Jasper Brekelmans (http://brekel.com/) has been working with professional and consumer Motion Capture solutions for 15+ years. In this presentation he’ll talk about which technologies/techniques he has used on past projects and show a recent one that explores integrating Mixed Reality (using a HoloLens) within a realtime mocap production environment.

 IMMERSIVE MEDIA/FILMACADEMY presentation

The Netherlands Film Academy (NFA) has a well known Immersive Media/Visual Effects (IMVFX) department. Their alumni are working all over the world on VFX for major blockbuster movies. Their VR-research mainly focuses on the possibilities of VR storytelling, inventing new dramatic narratives and exploring the possibilities of virtual acting/actors. By researching and developing VR-scenarios (for example: the Anne Frank House) and investigating new ways of real-time performance by virtual actors through motion capture, they want to train their students to become professionals in this quickly developing new visual language and in that way also hope to contribute to the VR-language development as a whole.

MEDIAMONKS presentation

Mediamonks (https://www.mediamonks.com) is a global creative production partner. They work together with world’s leading agencies, biggest brands and innovative media and technology companies. They will present their latest VR productions and will tell  their tips & tricks.

UITSPRAAK OVER VR

"To begin with, Virtual Reality is a part of computer science and it represents a new approach to computer science. Instead of treating the computer as a box that's out there that is supposed to accomplish something, you put a human being in the center and say, "Let's look at the human being closely. Let's see how people perceive the world or how they act. Let's design a computer to fit very closely around them, like a glove, you might say. Let's match up the technology to exactly what people are good at.""
