Datum: 9 januari 2018 Geschreven door: In:

We have two new presentations for u guys! And this time we will meetup in the VR Lab @ the Honigcomplex in Nijmegen. • First presentation; Marco Alting, owner of dFab VR will tell us something about a new game he developed which is used for treating children with a lazy eye.

• Second presentation; Teun van Teeffelen, co-owner VR Lab will tell about the “Virtual Laser Lab” which the VR Lab developed for the TU/e. In this experience students can safely learn to work with high-power Lasers.

• The stage is yours; do you want to show people some of your work, do you have a shout out or do you have a question… after the two presentations the stage is yours!

• Demo’s; After the presentations there will be time for some demo’s. The two speakers will show their work. Do you have a demo you would like to showcase at the meetup? Let us know.

The meetup is for everybody who is interested in VR/AR. Drinks and food will be taken care of, so set your RSVP to Yes and come to the VR-GLD meetup!

"To begin with, Virtual Reality is a part of computer science and it represents a new approach to computer science. Instead of treating the computer as a box that's out there that is supposed to accomplish something, you put a human being in the center and say, "Let's look at the human being closely. Let's see how people perceive the world or how they act. Let's design a computer to fit very closely around them, like a glove, you might say. Let's match up the technology to exactly what people are good at.""
