VR Presentations:
The Nightwatch by Seymour360
The Nightwatch is a feature VR film shot in August 2016 in cooperation with 25fps. And was funded by ‘Filmfonds’.The film was shot on Nokia OZO. After a post-production period of over 5 weeks we finalized the film. The film was directed and edited as a ‘regular’ movie. Almost 30 shots in 5 minutes is something different than the average VR movie. Quite experimental but during the Sneak preview at VR days the reactions were very positive.
Ashes to Ashes by WeMakeVR
‘Ashes to Ashes’ is an English spoken tragicomedy in Virtual Reality. It follows a dysfunctional family dealing with the dying wish of their pater familias, grandpa ‘Git’. It is a 10-min short, filmed in one take, and was a collaboration between 3 VR companies, a production company and a spatial sound company. Peter McLaughlin (WeMakeVR) was director of photography for this production and will provide insights on working on a set with a VR-script, 3 directors, an extensive light and sound plan, and a very big crew.
