WebXR Week, Brussels edition

Datum: 26 juni 2018 Geschreven door: In:

What if you could share your 360 holidays photos and videos instantly? What if you could create an entire game in the browser? What if you could make VR content for the latest device without installing anything?

Come discover what WebXR is with this Brussels edition of the WebXR Week (cf http://www.webxrweek.com ) !

We will first start with the why then the how:
– 30min use case and business presentation by Leen Segers (LucidWeb) : “The unique match of WebVR and interactive 360° video. Introduction to LucidWeb’s unique collaborations with European media and healthcare companies.” including Q&A
– 90min hands-on workshop by Fabien Benetou (Mozilla contributor) using A-Frame preceded by a short (<15min) presentation on the different frameworks (including Microsoft BabylonJS), live coding session and finally Q&A.

PS: do bring your laptop, mobile and, if you have one, your VR HMDs. We might have an extra HMD for testing but that’s it.

The event will be live streamed and recorded but if you are interested, come in person it’s a lot more fun!

UITSPRAAK OVER VR

"To begin with, Virtual Reality is a part of computer science and it represents a new approach to computer science. Instead of treating the computer as a box that's out there that is supposed to accomplish something, you put a human being in the center and say, "Let's look at the human being closely. Let's see how people perceive the world or how they act. Let's design a computer to fit very closely around them, like a glove, you might say. Let's match up the technology to exactly what people are good at.""
